Modern Slavery Statement

Slavery, forced labour and human trafficking have no place in a modern society. It has no part to play in our business and should not be present in our supply chains. This statement explains how our organisational structure and company processes aim to achieve these objectives in relation to the scope of our service supply and the activities of the company. We can categorically state that there is no modern slavery within our business.

We are a limited liability company registered in England and Wales. We aim to be a responsible business which operates ethically and with integrity across all aspects of our operations, including our supplier relationships.

We have three offices in the UK. Our main suppliers are service providers of probabilistic risk assessment services, similar to ourselves. We also use suppliers of software, IT services, IT and office hardware and materials and rent office space at our locations in the UK. Our suppliers are predominantly located in the UK, EU and North America.

We have a flat organisational structure so all employees have direct access to management team members if they need to raise concerns; whistleblowing is covered in our HR Policy. We carry out reviews to identify and assess supplier risk. We raise awareness of this Statement within Jacobsen Analytics and will include the Statement in our induction process.

We have had no areas of concern to date, but if such concerns do arise about areas of the business or suppliers, we will record any instances of concerns raised within our own business or within our supply chains. We will also record any actions taken in response to these concerns.

We will periodically review the effectiveness of the arrangements referred to in this statement and it will be reviewed on an annual basis and updated as necessary.

Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI)

Jacobsen Analytics Ltd is a provider of technical risk assessment services to the nuclear industry. We have reviewed, in relation to any potential for CFSI, our scope of supply to the nuclear industry, our internal processes, training and our use of subcontracted services.

In order to understand where CFSI risks may arise, and what controls may be needed, we have reviewed Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) guidance on CFSI risks and mitigation. The services we provide do not fall into any of the high risk categories identified by the ONR and we do not supply physical product to the nuclear industry. Discussions with clients who are concerned about CFSI have established that, as a service provider, we are not considered to be a CFSI risk.

We mitigate any residual risk related to the services we provide through the following:

  • Our own work product and an incoming work product from subcontractors is reviewed in accordance with our ISO9001:2008 procedures. Corrective, preventative and mitigative actions, where relevant, are part of the ISO9001:2008 processes.

  • Supplier evaluations are performed and documented and the level of supplier risk is evaluated.

  • We have carried out awareness raising training for staff within the company.

  • We are currently reviewing the need to move to ISO9001:2015, which has increased focus on risk management.

Relevant processes within our business and this statement will be periodically reviewed.
